ABOUT

Tess Wladar (she/her) is a 3D animator, multi-media designer, and fiber artist based in Richmond, Virgina. She uses 3D modeling and animation software (primarily Blender with a dash of Autodesk Maya) to bring colorful characters, objects, and environments to life. ​She also has a passion for needle-felting soft sculptures, homeware, and accessories made from sheep's wool.

 

She earned her BFA in Communication Arts at VCUarts. She is currently working as the Communications Coordinator and Office Manager at the Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA), where she oversees all external VCA communications including press releases, website updates, newsletters, and social media posts. She also coordinates all aspects of quarterly Commission Board meetings in collaboration with the agency’s Executive Director. Prior to joining the VCA, she worked as an administrator for VCU’s Art Foundation Program and an interdisciplinary art instructor for the Visual Arts Center of Richmond.
